Jodie Kidd is joining a host of famous faces partnering up with TK Maxx to help take action for children with disabilities. The Give Up Clothes For Good campaign in support of Enable Ireland encourages people to donate pre-loved quality clothes, accessories and homeware, to raise funds for children and young people’s disability services in Ireland. Alongside Jodie Kidd, world famous photographer, Jason Bell, a long-term supporter of the campaign, also captured stars including Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Abbey Clancy, Melanie Sykes, Angela Scanlon and Nicola Thorp.
Now in its 11th year, Give Up Clothes For Good is one of Ireland’s largest and longest running clothing donation campaigns. All donations go towards Enable Ireland, where they will be sold, or recycled, with funds raised directly benefitting children and young people with disabilities in local communities across the country. Funds are used to support specific projects including purpose-built children’s service centres, transport services, specialist equipment and assistive technology.
Jo Murphy, Assistant Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at TK Maxx, said: “We’re excited to continue to support Enable Ireland’s brilliant work to help take action for children with disabilities. For 11 years our customers and staff have generously helped raise over €3 million to support this vital work and once more we’re asking everyone to dig deep into their wardrobe and bring in a bag or two to support the campaign.”
Theresa Compagno, Acting Chief Executive Enable Ireland said, “Thanks to TK Maxx, we’re able to carry on providing vital therapy and support services to over 7,000 children and young people with disabilities across Ireland. We’d like to extend a huge thank you to TK Maxx and its customers for their support and would love to see as many people as possible getting involved in Give Up Clothes for Good and donating a bag of clothes in their local TK Maxx store, which will help us take action for children with disabilities.”
The campaign will run all year round, giving people more opportunities to donate and support. To take part, simply fill a bag with your pre-loved quality clothes, accessories and homeware and bring it to the collection point in your local TK Maxx store. Each bag could be worth up to €20 for Enable Ireland.
